Geo-Bureau offers businesses an opportunity to exploit the benefits of geographic statistics and also works with clients as consultants to provide a wide range of effective business and technology solutions. Geo-Bureau's chief products are community safety systems which benefit police forces, local authorities, regional and national government departments, utility companies, SME (small medium enterprise), and other organisations such as 'Crime Stoppers'.
History
Geo-Bureau began as a small consultancy specialising in software development and bespoke GIS application development for departments in Local Government. By recruiting consultants and experts from a variety of specialist fields the Geo-Bureau has been expanding steadily since November 2003. We can now offer a competitive, highly professional and expert service across a range of IT sectors.

Lionel Slade BSc MSc IEng MBCS CITP
Managing Director
Whilst working as the lead developer of GPS/GIS integration project with Local Government Lionel developed and showed a talent for high-complexity computer programming. Lionel's unique knowledge and expertise from over ten years LG experience in Highway Maintenance, Environmental, Surveying, and Crime & Disorder has provided him a rare and varied experience across many aspects of Local Government.
Lionel left Local Government to establish Geo-Bureau in November 2003, since this time he has been expanding this business whilst studying for a PhD. in Computer Science at the University of Glamorgan. Lionel is also a Chartered Information Technology Professional and a registered Incorporated Engineer with British Engineering Council.
Prof George Taylor BSc MSc PhD CEng MBCS CITP

Professor George Taylor is Research Coordinator for the School of Computing and is leader of the GIS Research Centre in the School. His current research interests focus on the integration of Geographical Information Systems with satellite navigation systems, such as the Global Positioning System (GPS). Professor Taylor was formerly a Royal Society Industry Fellow, a lecturer in the Department of Geomatics, University of Newcastle upon Tyne. Professor Taylor has 20 years of research experience, with over 100 academic publications and numerous funded industrial collaborative research projects.
