Sales & Marketing Manager

Geo-Bureau Ltd requires a Sales & Marketing Manger with experience in enterprise software sales. Geo-Bureau Ltd is small but growing consultancy specialising in bespoke software development for Geographic Information Systems. We are looking for an experienced, highly creative and self motivated Sales & Marketing Manager to help develop, manage & implement interactive campaigns for a variety of projects, particularly focusing on the community safety market and geo-information sectors. This role covers the end-to-end sales and marketing cycle from pre-sales through closing to after-sales customer services. You will be the lead salesperson and work within a small team that answer directly to the Managing Director.

You will...

Obtain sales of least £250k in the first year
Manage and pro-actively seek sales leads
Manage & implement marketing campaigns
Regularly meet with and present to clients
Pro-actively and strategically develop client relationships within interactive environment
Brainstorm ideas for websites, partnerships, online ads, applications & mobile content
Develop proposals for new campaigns
Liaise with media partners to secure integrated partnerships
Track & report existing campaigns
Conduct online & desk research
Be responsible for the customer service team


Experience & Requirements

Proven track record of successful selling
4+ years experience in IT sales and interactive marketing
Mature and extensive experience in managing & developing client relationships
Experience of successfully project managing international accounts and OJEC tendering
Web production knowledge
People management experience desirable but not essential
Sales experience at the Chief Executive level


Skills
Excellent communication skills

Excellent knowledge of & passion for interactive media
Able to demonstrate strong negotiation, diplomatic and client development skills
Numerate with proven project management skills Initiative, adaptability & willingness to help
Strong knowledge of Power Point, Word & Excel Sociable with a good sense of humour

Useful skills for new media marketing include account management, internet marketing, online marketing, PR, new media agency, media planning, digital marketing.

Candidate assessment for this post will be made by a combination of interview, tasks and psychometric tests.


Preferred Education / Professional Attainments : MSc or MBA, MIPS, MCIM, Chartered Status
Fixed-term contract : Permanent Contract (6 months probation)
Salary : £25k to £35k pa (plus bonuses). No upper limit to OTE. The chosen candidate will be given the opportunity to share in the success of the company through a share 'earn-in' programme.
